Open letter to the ones who know they’re meant for more, but don’t know where to start

You know what you want. More income. More freedom. More fulfillment.
That part is clear. It’s the how that feels muddy.
You see people out there doing it—building the life, the business, the career, the freedom—and even when you’re genuinely happy for them, something inside you burns.
You wonder why you can’t have that, too. You wonder what you did wrong, what you’re doing wrong…
Sometimes you get an idea to make a change, or you start something with excitement...
And then talk yourself out of it the next morning. You don’t really know for sure where to start, so you don’t.
And then you beat yourself up for not being where you want to be—when the truth is, you haven’t even owned your desire yet.
You haven’t claimed it. You haven’t said: I want more. I’m done pretending I don’t. So I’m going to do something about it.
It’s not just a mindset thing. You genuinely don’t feel like you have the space to figure it all out. You’re BUSY.
And you’ve been responsible. Dependable. Reliable. You’ve done the things you were “supposed” to do. You just figured doing those things would eventually lead to the life—the income, freedom, and fulfillment—you really wanted.
But now that it hasn’t, you’re frustrated (understatement). You don’t understand why. You feel stuck. So you just keep... settling.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me when I was in that exact place:
You can create any damn life you want—if you’re willing to put in the work.
But I don’t mean more hustle or more hours. I mean the internal work.
The kind of work that grows you into the version of yourself who can see the vision clearly—and then actually go for it.
The kind of work that builds the version of you who can create it and hold it.
I wish I had someone to tell me that I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I wasn’t stuck because of what I was doing—I was stuck because of who I was being… and how I was doing what I was doing.
It wasn’t that I needed more hustle or more ideas or more connections or more skills.
It was that I needed to become the kind of person who could maximize the ideas, connections, and skills I already had.
The kind of person who could show up boldly because they knew what they brought to the table.
The breakthrough you're praying for won’t come from pushing harder in the direction you already know you don’t want to go.
Your breakthrough is waiting for you on the other side of the internal work.
Your breakthrough will come when you slow down long enough to understand and embrace the part of you that still doesn’t believe you’re worthy of, capable of, or good enough for the more that you really want.
That’s what will unlock the clarity you’re craving.
Not knowing what to do next doesn’t mean you’re incapable. The answers will come. But they’ll come as you grow into the version of yourself who can hear them. Understand them. Run with them.
Right now, you’re settling.
Not because you’re lazy. Not because you’re not capable.
Because deep down, you don’t believe you can have what you actually want.
And I hate that for you—because I see how capable you are!
I know what’s possible for you. You can create any damn life you want—if you’re willing to grow into the version of yourself who can see it, and go for it.
If this blog called to you—if you’ve read this far—you’re at a choice point.
You can keep settling. Keep hoping clarity drops from the sky. Keep telling yourself you’ll figure it out “later.”
Or you can decide—right now—that you’re done settling.
That the dull ache in your chest isn’t “just how life is” for people like you.
This is your invitation to become the version of you you were always meant to be—the version of you you were put here to become.
You don’t have to know every step of the path you choose. You just have to decide you’re done settling for the path you’re on.
That’s the first step.
Then be willing to take one more.
And then another.
Okay?
The answers will come, as you go and grow.
But you need to know: you’re right. You were right all along—you are meant for more.
So will you finally start acting like it?
Love, Ali
